Congratulations to the Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network who begin work on three newly funded projects!
“Clinical Coordination and Data and Statistics for Studies of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network” is a four year award providing clinical coordination and data and statistical management for multiple CTN studies focused on substance use disorders. In accordance with the parent cooperative agreement, the Northeast Node of the CTN will collaborate with partners at NIDA to oversee all aspects of services provided by The Emmes Company, LLC. The Emmes Company is a Contracted Research Organization with a well-established history as a scientific partner to many divisions within the US government, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
“A Digitally Enhanced Model of Peer Doula Support for Substance Use Disorder and Peripartum Care” is a one-year mixed methods pilot study to systematically evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a novel digitally enhanced peer doula model of care.
“Extended-Release vs Sublingual Buprenorphine for Adolescent Opioid Use Disorder (ERA)” is a four year study conducting the first large-scale clinical trial of long-term buprenorphine maintenance treatment in adolescents (age 15-21 years) and compare the effectiveness of sublingual buprenorphine versus extended-release buprenorphine.
Congratulations to the teams on these important projects!
