Stephen Schueller, PhD
Associate Professor of Psychological Science and Informatics
University of California, Irvine
About the Presentation: Digital mental health interventions have been proposed to provide a solution to overcome gaps in mental health service delivery. Although digital mental health interventions are effective, the most effective interventions are those that include some form of human support. This talk will provide examples of digital mental health interventions that integrate human support and introduce the efficiency model of human support as a conceptual model of what this type of support intends to achieve. Findings will be presented from three clinical trials, and implications for the field of digital mental health will be discussed.
