About the Presentation: Dr.Brunette will discuss a study in which she examined outcomes of an integrated behavioral health and primary care program for 850 Medicaid beneficiaries with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. She will discuss the process of emulating a clinical trial through propensity score matching within Medicaid service claims.
About the Presenter: Dr. Mary F. Brunette is Professor of Psychiatry and Community & Family Medicine and of The Dartmouth Institute at Dartmouth College and the Medical Director of the Bureau of Behavioral Health within the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. As a board-certified addiction psychiatrist, she has been involved with research and clinical care of patients with severe mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders for over 15 years. She has been active with both psychosocial research and clinical trials studying treatments for people with these co-occurring disorders as well as other complex populations with behavioral health conditions. In the past few years, she led a large integrated care project with the state of New Hampshire, which focused on early intervention for young adults with behavioral health conditions.
