About the Presentation: Laura Damschroder illustrates how use of theory can provide the backbone for both scientific advancement and practical application of strategies to more reliably translate evidence-based interventions into clinical practice. Illustrative cases using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) are presented.
About the Presenter: Laura Damschroder is a research scientist, embedded within the Veterans Healthcare Administration (VHA) and is affiliated with the Center for Clinical Management Research (CCMR), an HSR&D research center of excellence in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a principal investigator within the VHA’s newly revamped QUERI program which is dedicated to translating research findings into practice. Laura has been PI or co-PI of 13 funded projects including projects related to studying implementation of lifestyle behavior change programs. She is the lead author of the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), published in 2009 and which has been cited by nearly 400 peer-reviewed articles.
