Project Summary
Women with pelvic organ prolapse (prolapse) experience significant physical and mental health burden, particularly when they are younger. Better interventions are needed to improve how this population receives evidence-based information about prolapse and to support the co-occurring mental health needs. In this research project, we will work with people with prolapse and the clinicians who treat them to develop a platform that will provide prolapse education, treatment options, and screen for co-occurring depression or anxiety.
Public Health Relevance
This study addresses an important public health problem affecting many birthing women through the development of a patient-centered digital platform that will support essential treatment and mental health needs.
