Published in December, CTBH led the development of this edited book defining the state of scientific research related to the development, experimental evaluation, and effective implementation of technology-based therapeutic tools targeting behavioral health.
ctbh-book-220Behavioral Healthcare and Technology, edited by Lisa A. Marsch (CTBH Director), Sarah E. Lord (Dissemination & Implementation Core Director), and Jesse Dallery (Scientific Core Director), provides an overview of current evidence-based approaches to leverage technology to promote behavioral health, including management of substance use, mental health, diet/exercise, medication adherence, as well as chronic disease self-management. Additionally, the book defines the state of implementation research examining models for deploying technology-based behavioral healthcare systems and integrating them into various care settings to increase the quality and reach of evidence-based behavioral healthcare while reducing costs.
This book is intended for a diverse audience including researchers, clinicians, program administrators, and persons in policy/regulatory arenas. It covers critical topics related to technology-based behavioral health, such as optimal development and testing models, implementation, regulatory, policy and systems level considerations, as well as the future of this approach to healthcare delivery.
