The Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, together with the Geisel School of Medicine, recently hosted a conference focused on New Hampshire’s opioid crisis. The conference, “Tackling the New Hampshire Opioid Crisis: Harnessing the Power of Science to Break the Cycle”, brought together a broad array of stakeholders to discuss the role science can play in the opioid epidemic.
CTBH Director, Dr. Lisa Marsch, shared findings from the “New Hampshire HotSpot Study”, funded by the National Drug Early Warning System (NDEWS) and NIDA. This study was conducted by the Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network. The study aimed to understand fentanyl and opioid use and overdose in New Hampshire, by interviewing consumers, first responders and emergency department (R/ED) personnel.
