Sophie Bartels, BA
Master of Science in Public Health to PhD student, Health Behavior, University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill
Sophie graduated from Colby College in 2017 with a BA in Global Studies and Latin American Studies. From 2017-2019, Sophie worked as a research coordinator assisting Dr. Lisa Marsch on the Scaling Up Science-based Mental Health Interventions in Latin America (DIADA) project and as a research assistant on the Science of Behavior Change project. Sophie is currently a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) to PhD in Health Behavior candidate at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. In her first year at UNC, Sophie is working on a HIV digital health project in Guatemala with Drs. Clare Barrington and Lisa Hightow-Weidman. Sophie is also a consultant on the DIADA project. Her research interests include global mental and sexual health, implementation science, and digital therapeutics.
