Pablo Martinez-Camblor studied math at the University of Oviedo (north of Spain). He got a PhD in statistical mathematics and then, he started trying to solve methodological and applied problems. Currently, his methodological research is focused on causal inference, diagnostic and multi-testing problems. Previously, he has worked on non-parametric curves comparison, competing risk and bootstrap methods. In general, he enjoys trying to solve statistical problems derived from biomedical researches. Pablo has taught different statistical courses mainly to biomedical researchers but also to undergraduate student at the University of Oviedo and at the University of Balearic Island. His professional developed includes the participation in statistical and medical conferences and seminars and mentoring students. He acts as reviewer for more than 20 peer-reviewed journals. Currently, he is associated editor of the journals Computational Statistics, Anales de Pediatria (journal of the Spanish Society of Pediatric) and the Journal of Hospital Management and Health Policy. In addition, he is Statistical Advisor for The Lancet group and Statistical Editor in the European Respiratory Journal.
He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, swimming, biking and, sometimes, he tries to run. Pablo loves books (even he reads them!), music and good movies.
