Justine M. Stone, MA
Research Coordinator, Artificial Intelligence and Mental Health: Innovation in Technology Guided Healthcare Lab at Dartmouth, Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
Justine Stone is a research coordinator working with Dr. Nicholas Jacobson on the Suicide Transmission Dynamics on Social Media study. This project utilizes ecological momentary assessment (EMA) and data from social media platforms to predict rapid changes in suicidal ideation and model the transmission of suicidal thoughts and behaviors among young adults.
Prior to joining CTBH, Justine received her MA in clinical psychology from Washburn University and completed a clinical practicum at Kansas State University. She has worked in several mental health roles with diverse clinical and high-risk populations, which sparked her research interests in the relationships between trauma, resilience, and suicidal ideation. Justine is particularly interested in the influence of personality, psychopathology, and other individual risk factors on suicidal ideation, as well as the potential contributions of social media use on the acquired capability for suicidal behavior.
Justine is passionate about developing effective interventions and utilizing digital platforms to improve treatment accessibility for underserved and vulnerable groups. She plans to apply to clinical psychology PhD programs in the future. Justine is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).
In her free time, Justine enjoys yoga, hiking with her dogs, and capturing local landscapes through oil painting.
