Jessica Hulsey is the founder of the Addiction Policy Forum, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating awareness around substance use disorders and helping patients and families in crisis. APF works to end the stigma surrounding addiction while translating science and providing services in all 50 states.

Jessica has over 25 years of experience in the field of prevention, treatment, and policy solutions to address substance use disorders. She began working in prevention at 15 years old through an anti-drug coalition in southern California. The next chapters included an appointment by President Bill Clinton to serve on the Drug-Free Communities Commission, serving as a legislative aid in the U.S. House of Representatives, and work to pass and fund the Second Chance Act to help individuals returning home from prison and jail. She serves on the National Advisory Council on Drug Abuse for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and is a Board Member for the Princeton Club of Washington and the DEA Educational Foundation (Drug Enforcement Administration, US Department of Justice).

She lives in Maryland and is mom to three beautiful boys — Conner, Jack and Tyler. Jessica is a bookworm and movie buff, busy with 3 teenage boys, and rescues Rottweilers. 🙂
