Hee Jeong Han, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow, Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
Hee Jeong Han is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health at Dartmouth, where she advances research at the intersection of health, technology, and artificial intelligence. She earned her PhD in Informatics from Penn State University, working with Dr. Saeed Abdullah at the Well-being and Health Innovation Lab. Her research focuses on designing conversational agents that support mental health, developing deep learning models to assess the context of symptoms such as PTSD and dementia, and creating privacy-preserving financial technologies to identify and intervene in problematic financial behaviors among individuals with mental illnesses. She also leads work on supporting care partners who manage finances for people with bipolar disorder.
Before her doctoral studies, she received her BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Ewha Womans University and her MS in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, where she developed a wearable-based system to predict stress in everyday life. Outside of research, she enjoys cooking, baking, and playing tennis.
