Emma M. Fredyma, BS
Research Assistant, Northeast Node of the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network, Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
Emma recently joined the Northeast Node of the Clinical Trials Network and Center for Technology and Behavioral Health. She graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health from Plymouth State University. Emma was awarded PSU’s Top Psychology Senior award, Institutional Honors, and was voted one of the Top 20 Outstanding Seniors for her efforts both on and off campus. Emma completed an independent honors thesis titled “Meditation and Group Attitudes”, which utilized Loving-Kindness Meditation as an interventive approach to minimize intergroup biases against transgender individuals, while also exploring the role of self-identified gender on these biases.
At the Northeast Node, Emma assists in the implementation of a novel preventive trial for opioid use disorder. In her free time, Emma enjoys kayaking, watching Hamilton and spending time with her friends, family, and her cats.
