Dan McNeish, PhD
Associate Professor of Quantitative Psychology and Director of the Mixed Effect Modeling Laboratory at Arizona State University
Dan McNeish is an associate professor of Quantitative Psychology at Arizona State University. He completed his PhD in Measurement and Statistics at the University of Maryland. His statistical and methodological research focuses on three broad areas, (1) models for hierarchically and longitudinally clustered data, (2) psychometrics and latent variable modeling, and (3) methods for data analysis with modest sample sizes. These interests often result in collaborations on research projects addressing disparities in health and behavioral outcomes, particularly involving underrepresented groups or hard-to-reach populations. His research in these areas has been acknowledged with four early career research awards from the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, the American Educational Research Association, and the Society for Multivariate Experimental Psychology. He teaches graduate courses on multilevel modeling, longitudinal data analysis, and computational statistics as well as undergraduate statistics and is currently an Associate Editor at Multivariate Behavioral Research, a Consulting Editor at Psychological Methods and Behavior Research Methods, and an Editorial Board member at Organizational Research Methods and the Routledge Multivariate Applications book series.
