Ahhyun Lee, BA
Research Coordinator, Artificial Intelligence and Mental Health: Innovation in Technology Guided Healthcare Lab at Dartmouth, Center for Technology and Behavioral Health, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
Ahhyun is a research coordinator collaborating with Dr. Nicholas Jacobson on the Sensing Schizophrenia Study, which utilizes passive sensing and ecological momentary assessment to predict changes in schizophrenia symptoms over time.
Ahhyun graduated with high distinction from UC Berkeley in 2023, majoring in psychology and minoring in data science. During undergraduate, she worked as an assistant lab manager at the Idiographic Dynamic Lab, where she conducted an honors thesis study on the relationship between affect dynamics and personality in individuals with and without psychopathology. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant at Hinshaw’s Lab and worked on a randomized controlled trial of a digital app intervention for people suffering from ADHD. She also has been volunteering as a counselor at a local crisis line since 2023.
Her research interests include: (1) predicting suicidal thoughts and behaviors in young individuals using intensive longitudinal data; (2) developing digital interventions to improve access to treatment for those experiencing suicidal thoughts and self-harm
Ahhyun plans to apply to graduate programs in clinical psychology. In her free time, she enjoys singing karaoke, dancing K-pop and Salsa, and running.
