The Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH) and Department of Biomedical Data Science (BMDS) are pleased to welcome Madelyn (Maddy) Frumkin, PhD to our faculty this fall! Maddy will additionally hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth.
Maddy received her PhD in Clinical Science from Washington University in St. Louis and completed a clinical fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Her research has been funded by organizations including the National Institute of Mental Health, American Psychological Foundation, American Psychological Association, and Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. Maddy’s lab at Dartmouth will focus on 1) leveraging intensive longitudinal data to understand predictors of persistent pain, mental health problems, and/or substance use after injury or surgery, and 2) developing personalized, digital interventions to improve mental and physical health outcomes.
“I am thrilled to join CTBH and the Department of Biomedical Data Science,” she says, “I look forward to collaborating with investigators across disciplines to improve lives through digital technology. I am honored to join this dynamic, pioneering, and collaborative scientific community, and to have the opportunity to mentor future leaders in digital health.”
