Article Excerpt: To better understand the challenges faced by EMS clinicians, the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians is collaborating with investigators at the Dartmouth College Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH), the only NIH-funded “Center of Excellence” in the nation focused on developing and testing robust digital therapeutics for substance use (P30DA029926).
This groundbreaking research is led by Enzo Plaitano, a Nationally Registered Paramedic and third-year PhD Candidate at Dartmouth College and his advisor, Dr. Catherine Stanger, a professor of Psychiatry and Biomedical Data Science with over 30 years of expertise in studying the mechanisms of health risk behaviors to design robust interventions for high-risk populations.
