Program Overview
CBT2go is a digital tool used to augment in-person cognitive behavioral therapy for individuals with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar I disorder. The CBT2go algorithm maintains a clinical history of patients’ assessments and responses to intervention content. This maintenance of individual user responses allows for personalized daily messages that provide real-time interventions based on current symptoms and negative cognitions. Patients are sent a text message directing them to the CBT2go online platform three times a day. The morning survey assesses mood and voices, the afternoon addresses socialization, and the evening survey is dedicated to medication adherence. Intervention content is then delivered based on the individual maladaptive beliefs expressed by patients in each survey. Patients are provided with alternative beliefs and actions and encouraged to engage in the action or activity if they report a high likelihood of engaging in the activity. In addition to these surveys and real-time interventions, patients can monitor and view the symptoms they report over time.
