Stephanie graduated from Wheaton College in Massachusetts with a bachelors degree in Biology. Her research interests include microbiology, and public health with a focus on behavioral health. She spent several years as a research assistant for Dr. Michael Compton from the New York State Psychiatric Institute at Columbia University on a research project called the “Linkage System” in Georgia. This NIMH R01 study was a RCT of 1,600 people with serious mental illness (SMI) that aimed to reduce arrests and recidivism by connecting police officers with local mental health professionals. Stephanie went on to work as a research coordinator at Dartmouth Hitchcock’s Neurology department where she primarily worked on clinical drug trials for people with ALS. At the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health at Dartmouth, she works with Dr. Sarah Lord on the MMORE study which analyzes a yoga and mindfulness intervention on pregnant women with opioid use disorder. In her leisure time she enjoys reading, DIY projects, cooking, yoga, hiking, kayaking, and camping.
