Samuel H. Morton, BA
Master's Student, Computer Science, Dartmouth College
Sam is a computer science masters student interested in the applications of computational techniques, and machine learning in particular, to the medical field. He was a computer science major as an undergrad at Dartmouth as well, and graduated in 2021. In the past, Sam has worked on projects ranging from unsupervised behavior detection in diabetic blood glucose data to quantifying the carbon emissions embodied in the trade of entire nations. With the Jacobson Lab, Sam has been working on a lightweight architecture for the estimation of heart rate from videos of human faces, to be deployed in the Mood Triggers app. After he graduates, Sam plans on becoming a software engineer. Outside of work, his interests include running, mountain biking, and politics. He ran cross country and track for Dartmouth during his undergrad career.
